Well said. I remember where I was during that series. A different location for each game. The Saturday game I was doing laundry at my neighborhood laundry mat. If that doesn’t tell you what kind of series it was, a series to remember, I don’t know what will.

I was born in Oakland just ten years before the A’s came. The A’s world championships in the 70s were the best part of my teenage years. I went to spring training for the first time this year. I saw 8 games in 12 days (5 of which involved the A’s). I lived in Sacramento for 12 years and am a diehard River Cats fan. The best part of spring training was seeing all my River Cats in A’s uniforms (and Seth Smith waving to me)! I love your insider articles. They make me feel like I’m right there with the team.
